How to get to

Siargao

  • USA —> Manila/Cebu

For those flying to the Philippines from the States, we recommend flying into one of the big cities: Manila (MNL) or Cebu (CEB).

Direct flights into Manila are more common than Cebu. Philippine Airlines offers non-stop flights from LAX, SFO, HNL, and JFK to Manila. United also offers a nonstop route from SFO to MNL.

If you choose to fly into Cebu, most routes from the West Coast entail a stopover, commonly in Seoul (Korean Airlines), Taipei (Eva and Starlux Airlines), or Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific).

Since that trans-ocean flight can be a doozy, you may want to spend the night in the city to rest up and stretch your legs before heading to Siargao!

    • Staying in Manila: here’s our Manila booking.com list. We recommend staying in the neighborhood of Makati, located only 10 minutes from the airport and close to many shops and restaurants.

    • Staying in Cebu: here’s our Cebu booking.com list. If you plan on exploring Cebu while you’re there, we recommend staying at Seda or Raddison Blu in the city center. Otherwise, if relaxing and not leaving your hotel is on the agenda, stay at any of the Mactan resorts, which are just down the road from the Cebu Airport.

    Manila/Cebu —> Siargao

Once you’re rested and refreshed, grab a short (1-2 hour), nonstop flight from the city to Siargao Island (IAO). Economy roundtrip flights range from $80-$200.

Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, and Sunlight Air offer regular, direct flights to Siargao from the major cities. Flights start at 3:30 am, operating at approximately 2 to 3-hour intervals until 5:00 PM.

  • Siargao charges a tourism/environmental fee of PHP 30.00 upon arrival and departure at the IAO airport, so please prepare cash in pesos ahead of time to facilitate a quicker entrance and exit.

  • We will arrange for your transportation from the Siargao airport (IAO) to your hotel in General Luna, where the wedding festivities will take place. This is a 30 minute drive.

When you’ve booked your flight and accommodations, update those details on your RSVP to make sure we get your ride!

Where to

Stay

Stay a while! All wedding festivities will be taking place in and near the town of General Luna on Siargao, so check out our favorite hotels, villas, and Airbnbs in the area!

If you want to be where the shops, restaurants, parties, and bars are, stick to Tourism Road in General Luna.

If you’d prefer a little more peace and quiet, and don’t mind a quick 10-15 minute scooter ride into town, check out lodgings in Malinao further south (where our wedding venue is located), or Cloud 9 or Cantangan just north of General Luna.

Let us know where you’ll be staying when you RSVP so we can arrange your transportation to and from the wedding venue.
