Frequently Asked Questions
The Wedding
-
September 1, 2025. That’s a hard date, friends.
-
We love your little ones, but we hope you can join us for a special evening just for adults.
-
Check your invite for your plus one. If you have one, be sure to update your RSVP to make sure their details and dietary restrictions are included.
-
It’s a Slim Aarons-themed party in the South Pacific so think glam, retro, slinky, tropically bold (the brighter, the better!) or effortlessly earthy. Since it will be warm and humid, we recommend leaning into airy fabrics and flowy silhouettes. And if nothing else, have a little fun with it for god’s sake!
The venue’s terrain is sandy and grassy so no stilettos, ladies!
Lastly, who would Nikki be if she didn’t prepare some visual guidance for you? Click here for that inspo.
-
Yes. When you and your party have booked your flight to Siargao (IAO) and your lodging, please update those details on your RSVP so we can arrange for your transport from the airport and to/from the wedding festivities.
-
The ceremony and reception will be fully outdoors on the oceanfront.
-
Is the Pope Catholic?
-
We’ll update the menu here in the coming months. When you RSVP, you will be prompted to note any dietary restrictions/allergies.
Travel & Accomodations
-
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you arrive. So check those passports ahead of time and get them updated if needed!
-
No.
-
About 14 hours nonstop from the west coast to Manila.
A return direct flight is 12 hours.
-
You can start booking as early as a year in advance. We recommend setting a Google Flight alert for deals. From the west coast, a direct economy roundtrip flight between $800-$1200 is considered a good deal.
-
We recommend exchanging dollars for Philippine pesos before flying into Siargao since not all places on the island may take credit cards. Cash can also come in handy for tipping.
While there are ATMs and a few money changers in Siargao, they may be limited. Before flying to Siargao, you can exchange money at currency exchanges at the airport, malls in Manila or Cebu, or ATMs (check ahead for any bank fees for international withdrawals).
The exchange rate is about 57 PHP to 1 USD.
-
There is no hotel room block, but check out our Travel page for our favorite hotels, villas, and Airbnbs on the island.
-
You can call Nikki and Donny at 818-667-4756 and we’ll help you out!
-
Before flying out….
Download Grab (the Filipino Uber/UberEats - comes in handy in the cities) and WhatsApp to receive wedding updates from our wedding guest coordinator / ask them any questions or make requests.
Flight Baggage
Most flight carriers flying into the smaller islands, including Siargao, use smaller planes. So be aware of the weight restrictions for your check-in and carry-ons ahead of time. If you know you’ll be over the limit, we recommend paying for your extra baggage allowances ahead of time online to avoid paying excess baggage fees at the airport.

Siargao
-
The Philippines feels like summer all year long.
Siargao in December is warm and humid so pack your summer clothes and beachwear! Temps usually run in the 80’s. It is also rainy season in December so be prepared for occasional showers throughout the day.
-
Scooters and motorbike taxis (tuk tuks) are the most common way to get around. For more details, check out our Siargao page.
-
What isn’t there to eat. From Israeli, Italian, and Indonesian, Siargao has a range of international dining options. The island also has a huge coffee culture!
Check out our Siargao page for all our favorites!
